Thaler enables quick and efficient product launch

Pre-paid cards provide a safe and convenient alternative to cheques and cash.They are charged with a pre-defined amount and can be used at any terminal that supports VISA payments. Pre-paid cards have already proven their  economic viability in the United States. This was reason enough for Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank (ALCB) and Money Card Ltd (MCL) to join forces and bring this technology to the United Kingdom.

ALCB and MCL needed a new and flexible banking engine quickly if they were to successfully launch pre-paid cards in the UK. The Thaler banking platform fitted their requirements like a glove. Callataÿ & Wouters UK implemented  Thaler, developed the necessary custom functions and interfaced the engine with the Web tools and other ALCB and MCL applications. All of this in less than six months time.
